Team Cameron,
I'm not certain what I find so distracting that I can't type 1 of these posts without getting caught up on another task. The other day I diagnosed myself with ADHD. All too often when I began working on one project I find myself opening up two or three other projects and two hours later none of them have been completed. Now I'm uncertain if I should and get a prescription for Ritalin or pat myself on the back for multitasking.
With that said, I have had an extremely busy few weeks since my last post. I was invited to speak to the Olathe Noon Rotary. They meet once a week for lunch at the Olathe Holiday Inn and I was honored to share my story with this great group of men and women. Thanks again to Ray and Andrea for the invitation.
The Cannonballer's played another season of kickball this fall and finished the season with a perfect record. There were a lot of laughs at the expense of teammates fielding errors, flubbed kicks and overall antics. You didn't have to read their jerseys to know this was a team that placed the importance of having a good time over winning. It's only that type of attitude that finishing a season with an 0-6 record you can celebrate with high-fives. Congratulations again to all of the participants.
Additional high-fives were passed around the Golf Committee. They celebrated their perfect record of a different sort. On September 23 all participants enjoyed a beautiful day (and that is an understatement) on Sycamore Ridge Golf Course. We had a 100+ golfers enjoying lunch by Chipotle and beverages from Brown Bag Liquor on a sunny 74° day. There were plenty of familiar faces and a number of first timers and I enjoyed talking with each of them throughout the day.

Post golf we moved the crowd to the Prince of Peace reception hall for a plate full of vittles from Texas Roadhouse while shopping the amazing silent auction. When the Golf Committee decided to move the tournament from spring to fall the primary reason was for better weather. Although the golfers had a great time during the rainsoaked days in the early spring I think the September weather is more agreeable.
Now as far as that perfect record of successful Golf Tournaments, if any of you see Anna, Josh, Kathleen, Lori or Scott be sure to congratulate them on their 7-0 record.
I would also like to throw another shout out to all of the volunteers, sponsors, donors and the golfers for their time and expense to make this event so successful. The monies raised through their efforts and generosity help me throughout the year.
