Hello Team Cameron,
Like most of you I am lucky enough to have celebrated Thanksgiving with my family. I found myself looking around the room through the pre-dinner prayer in amazement at how fortunate I am. We had the entire family at mom and dad's for the big dinner.
I would like to send a big, congratulations to Coach Pete Flood and the rest of the Olathe North Football Team for their win on Saturday in Topeka. There were a number of milestones not only the claim of State Champions but in addition to they can brag an undefeated season. It was a beautiful day and a great game. The Eagles took an early and decisive lead and finished the game 38-3 leaving their opponent, Wichita Heights, in the dust.
On a side note, the running back for Olathe North the last three years, James Franklin has been on pace to set a new running record. Three weeks ago James surpassed Darren Sproles’s (now playing for San Diego Chargers) previously held record of 5,230 yards rushing and finished the season with 5,914 yards. I look forward to seeing James play during college and potentially beyond.
I was talking with my sister this evening and around the 5:30 p.m. and she reminded me that today was December 1st. I don't know if it caught any of you, like me, unaware but Team Cameron had another Prayer Power Surge at 6 p.m.. I wanted to thank everyone that participated and invite anyone else to take a moment and pray or anyone affiliated with Team Cameron that might need a prayer.
I guess I don't need to remind you now that Christmas is only 24 days away. That means, depending on when you read this, about three weeks to get your shopping done for Christmas. Best of luck to each of you as you attempt to finish in time.
Take Care –
Love, Mark
