Hello Team Cameron,
We've been enjoying some unseasonably warm weather. It’s been great getting out to enjoy the mild temperatures and sunshine. Last Friday the Eagles and Coach Flood out-shined the Lancers giving us yet another win. It was a great game and the Eagles looked sharp and I think they're in line to win again this Friday when they take on Free State from Lawrence here in Olathe.
If you are in town and want to meet us for a pregame appetizer and soda we will be in the northwest corner of the parking lot at the ODAC Stadium on 159th and Lone Elm. It's where we always meet for home games. The weather report is calling for unseasonably warm temperatures again so it should be a great night for high school football.
The weather Saturday afternoon was sunny and 70’s which was perfect for an afternoon of a charity softball tournament. I've decided that next to kickball; charity softball tournaments are extremely entertaining. There were a number of missed catches, overrun bases and bad throws but everyone was there for a good time in a great cause.
Saturday evening was the perfect setting for a Chili Contest with Nebraska playing Oklahoma. I don't have secret recipe chili so I brought two cans of Campbell's soup and a bag of crackers. I didn't win but I did enjoy some good chili.
This weekend is the annual Team Cameron Bowling Tournament I hope you have all signed up. You can find the information at www.teamcameron.org/2009bowling.pdf . We will be at the Mission Bowl in Olathe. The kids will pull 330 until six and the adults will bowl from 6:30 until nine. I hope to see you all there.
I saw on the news there was a college in Pennsylvania that made a 200 foot long BLT. With 225 pounds of bacon and 200 pounds of lettuce it sounds like a great afternoon snack. To bad we don't have it for this Saturday's bowling tournament. Check this out au.video.yahoo.com/watch/6348735/16467566.
This November 11th is Veterans' Day and a great day to thank a veteran for the sacrifices they made that allow us the freedom we enjoy. With the holiday seasons approaching it would be a good time to send a soldier a care package.
Have a great week and hug a vet.
