Hello Team Cameron,
“&*it Happens!!!”
The Cannonballer's were soundly defeated. I was just as shocked as I watch the game on Sunday night. Our opponent took a quick lead and continued to put distance between us throughout the night.
Like so many stories you hear of the favorite team that finally loses it was tough on the players, coach and audience. We won't be taking the field again until March but if I know my team and they will be training until then.
We had a great year with amazing improvements and cohesion in the team. I look forward to next spring.
With the weather turning colder and my time spent outside more valuable I can appreciate the warm spells like this last weekend for all it has to offer. A few years ago my doctor told me that my vitamin D levels were low (common with my injury) and that I needed to get more sun. Throughout the summer I spent a minimum of a half an hour on my back patio soaking in direct sunlight and as this weather gets colder, more cloudy and days grow shorter the sunny days are priceless.
We are still planning the bowling tournament and it looks like we are going to have a great turnout. I want to be sure each of you that may be looking for something to do is there. Take a look at the following link for your registration form. Be sure to e-mail either Sue or Maureen to get your names on a lane.

So many times I refer to the term "butter side up" and I have found that my life is so much easier to accept if I learned to roll with the punches. This week's quote could be compared to a lifestyle of acceptance, "When you are reluctant to change, think of the beauty of autumn."
I have used this quote before but found myself enjoying the changing of the trees and everything involved with the change of season. Although I'm not a fan of winter it brings back great memories of the years I lived in Vail. I find now that my disdain for wintertime and the cold weather is met with the excitement of another spring that follows.
So with that I find myself rolling with the punches of the season's and of life that would be the colder weather, a dead battery, computer problems, a lost job or a spinal cord injury. You need to roll with the punches, find a way to enjoy the change because before you are done you're going to have to enjoy "butter side up."
Have a great week. See you all on the 14th of November.
Mark
