Hello Team Cameron,
It’s been 2 weeks since my last post. I don’t skip the post very often but I guess I took a breather.
Cannonballers were supposed to play their last game of the season tonight but with the rainy weather I am sure it was cancelled. They have won over the last 2 weeks but last week reminded me of a post I wrote a year ago when I explained they were playing for the “love of the game”. The opposing team forfeited the game due to being short handed but offered to play anyway. As we quickly discovered, they didn’t have the professional experience of our team or the talent. At that point, I realized they were playing for the love of the game and our team decided to send over some help. We played for an hour and had a great time. Missing tonight’s game will make for an extra long break and I am sure the Cannonballers will miss each other.
A majority of the Cannonballers are planning to meet up in a few weeks at the Team Cameron Bowling Tournament. As most of you already know, we will be at the Mission Bowl n’ Olathe on November 14th. It is a great time for both kids and adults. Click on the following link for information and registration.

As I review my social calendar, I realize I am staying in much more now due to the decline of favorable weather. In fact, I have only made it out to a couple of lunches and a couple of events hosted by The City of Olathe and PDAB. I look forward to a couple of different scheduled outing over the next 2 weeks.
Recently, I was talking to a good friend of mine. During the conversation, I was attempting to describe my support network and how invaluable my friends and family are and have been to me during my recovery. I remembered a quote I have heard, “Of life’s wealth, friends are a most precious asset.” As you can imagine, I have realized over the last 5 years how truly friend rich I am. I would like to invite each of you to call an old friend and remind them how valuable they are to you.
Love,
Mark
P.S. I would like to congratulation Mom and Dad on their 51st Anniversary. I love you.
