Hello Team Cameron,
What is “1-0”?
You got it right if you guessed Team Cannonballer's kickball season record. That's right, we're back and it looks like we are on our way to another undefeated season. We made a couple of defensive errors and with a little more practice we could strengthen our offense of game.
Don't get me wrong, a win is still a win and I'm proud of the team but a stronger opponent might be able to take advantage of those weaknesses and pull the rug out. We will see what happens next week. I'm hoping the temperature will drop by next Sunday, we are playing at three o'clock. As always everyone is invited to cheer on the team.
Every once in awhile someone sends me an inspirational quote that causes me to reflect on my own life and what I find most valuable. More often than not I am reminded at how fortunate I am with my health, home and of course support system. Last week I was sent a video that I wanted to share with you.

This video immediately remind me of the time that I spent rehabbing at Craig Hospital in Denver, Colorado. I remember during physical therapy as I glanced around the room. I would become more and more frustrated that I was not as fortunate as some of the other patients. Why wasn't I a paraplegic?
I was discouraged at my condition until one day I was returning to my room and I saw other patients with injuries higher than mine and conditions more severe. I was getting out of bed and off of the ventilator unlike a number of patients recovering on my floor at the hospital.
In addition, there was a 18 year old kid that I met on my floor with the same level of injury. One day as he looked around at the pictures in my room he commented on how fortunate I was to have been able to travel and experience so much in life before my accident. It made me think about the places that have been and the things that I've seen since I was 18 years old and what he was going to miss out on because of his new condition.
I knew feeling sorry for myself was no longer an option. I also knew that the doctors and medication could only do so much, the rest was up to me.
If you were able to take a moment to watch the video then I'm sure that like me you have stopped to reflect on your own life. The next time you find something challenging you and you get the urge to quit remember those people less fortunate than you that have the spirit to try one more time.
Have a great week.
Love, Mark
PS - Sally, I had a great time with your son and the rest of the guys from Push America. That's an experience they will never forget with a group of guys they will know the rest of their lives. E-mail me with your address and I'll send you some information on the systems that I use.
