Team Cameron,
Remind me next February to keep an eye out for the groundhog. I don't know how everyone else is handling the weather but it's definitely not my ideal conditions. I would normally like to get started on my summer tan by this time of year. In fact, I haven't even been to a nephew's baseball game yet.
It was another chilly week, it did however warm up to the mid-70s on Saturday, but Sunday morning we found drizzly, sleet throughout the day. You guessed it, the Cannonballers' game was canceled again. We don't have a game scheduled for this Sunday, the team has a day off for Easter. We do have a four o'clock game scheduled for Sunday the 19th. We would love to have you all there.
I've been getting updates from the golf committee and it sounds like the team registrations are trickling in. Estimates are that we should be filling up in the next two weeks or so. I've included the body of an e-mail reminder that the committee put together and sent out to everyone they had on the database.

WE LOOK FORWARD TO SEEING YOU!!!

You can see they are also looking for additional auction items. I've heard they're putting together pictures of some of the items that will be up for auction. You may get a preview online soon.
You may have also gotten an invitation to the Wine Tasting held on April 30. Brown Bag Liquor Store is taking reservations. I did clarify that according to Kansas law you are supposed to prepay for your entry into the wine tasting. They are making it easy by taking your name and credit card in person or over the phone. Their number is (913) 764-0816 contact them immediately before it fills up.
I'm headed to opening day again this year at Kauffman Stadium. The season home opener for the Royals will be Friday, April 10. Look for me on TV, I'll be in the top row on the lower level. I'll be in blue.
I celebrated my 39 birthday last week. Thanks to you well-wishers. It's funny when people ask if I ever regret getting older. I've never felt like hiding my age or regretted turning another year older because the alternative sounded so finite.
Have a great week, stay warm.
