Team Cameron,
Well I guess I can’t make fun of a three dollar thermometer. Monday evening last week Dr. Rick came in for a workout and I told him about my temperature reading that was so low with the three dollar thermometer. He looked me over and decided that I was headed to the emergency room. I guess you don't pass over a 94° temperature.
It was a definite lesson to myself to pay a little better attention to my health. Four years ago last month I was discharged from Craig Hospital in Denver weighing 172 pounds which was 50 pounds light of the preinjury weight. There are pictures of me wearing sweatshirts and jeans that literally hung from my limbs.
With purchase of my electric stim bike, minimum exercise, restaurant food & nights out, I started gaining weight the first month. In the initial stages the weight I gained was attributed to the leg muscle I've packed on but after 40 pounds made excuses to level off.
When I reached the pre-accidents weight of 225 it seemed reasonable but only lasted a week. Well over the last six months I think I've leveled off around 265 I started losing sleep due to sleep apnea and last Monday night with a temperature of 93° Dr. Rick and a couple of Quad Squaders checked me into the emergency room.
After two nights at all in the Olathe Medical Center my temperature was reestablished and I left with a few more medications. It looks like a New Year's resolution to lose weight and my Lenten promises are one and the same. First time I've ever had to go on a diet. The text to
Well anyway I think bunch of you received your golf registration via e-mail last week at least those of you that we have the correct e-mail address. They are helping put together another Wine Tasting on Thursday Night at the Ball Conference Center in addition to the Golf Tournament to follow on Friday Afternoon and the Post Party Friday Night, May 1.
The Golf Committee has been working on this year's tournament and is looking for a few volunteers. They have a number of positions open for the Thursday night Wine Tasting in addition they need help procuring auction items for the silence and live auction on Friday night. You can reach the Committee with their contact numbers on the registration and the auction committee at auction@teamcameron.org.
Be sure to set aside an evening of wine tasting set April 30 and get your foursome together for golf on Friday, May 1. Until then pay attention to the next three dollar thermometer it could be worth the money. Have a great week.
