Team Cameron,
It was a quiet week, the cold kept me inside. Of course, I spent some time with my feet on the bike pedals in addition to a number of hours working out with electric stimulation. The weather for the weekend was absolutely beautiful with a thermometer tickling the 70’s both Saturday and Sunday.
Saturday early evening we decided to have a cookout here at 816 with family. We grilled steaks and cooked potatoes for a hardy meal and great company. Sunday morning Mom and Dad came by with donuts and we continued the laughs from the night before with a phone call from brother Mike; sharing with us the details of our nephew Davis and his 3rd year birthday party.
Wednesday evening, the golf tournament planning committee got together to discuss details of the golf tournament and post party. Be sure to keep your eye out for additional information to follow shortly. The flyer should be out in the next week or so; until then make sure you have May 1st set aside on your calendar.
I was listening to the news today and came up with a new stimulus package. Every so often I talk with people that read my website and decide to start exercising after they see that I'm riding my bike more than they exercise in a week.
For all of you that are looking to get your heart rate up a little, I thought I would remind you of how easy it would be to start parking your car at the far end of the lot for a change. I was thinking of five years ago when I used to park my truck across the lot in an an attempt to eliminate any door-dings bumped by runaway shopping carts.
It would be easy enough to do the next time you're pulling into the parking lot steer for the open spaces. I don't know that it would actually do anything for your heart rate but it wouldn't hurt. Next week we can talk about skipping the elevator and taking the stairs.
Happy Birthday Davis! I hope you all have a great week!
Love,
Mark
