the way it is snowing brings back a memory of mark and i getting into BIG trouble.
we had one of those snows that the snow plows piled up what i remember to be 10 feet drifts on the sides of the road. i am sure it was probably only about 5 or 6 feet but when you are that young everything seems sooo much bigger. our neighbor donna dewey's daughter, deborah, was getting married on valentine's day and mark and i were supposed to attend the wedding.
we were at chris morans house and got the call we needed to get home to get ready for the wedding. since we were at the moran's house chris walked with us to 127th and quivira and then mark and i were supposed to treck the rest of the way down quivira to home.
well we were young and these huge mountains of snow on the sides of the road kept on getting in our way. after several snowball fights and discovering a couple more places we could dig tunnels thru we finally made it to the corner. well we still had a jaunt to get home and mom wasn't to pleased to say the least.
we didn't make it to the wedding. i can't remember exactly what the punishment was but we sure did have one heck of a time to remember playing in that snow.
