Back in the good ole' college days, Mark would always come to my rescue once Donnie had graduated and moved to KC. One snowing Thursday night, my roommate Lacie Birk were packing for our weekend out of town. Lacie realized that the outfit she really wanted to take was on Layaway at The Buckle. The snow was so bad that we hated to get out in it. But then we had an idea..... Mark with his Bronco, his love for a challenge and a free meal; we would ask him to go to The Buckle for us and promise him a free "home made " meal once he returned with the clothes. So off from the Sig Pi house Mark went. It seemed like hours later, Mark showed up on our door step clothes in hand and the proudest smile ever on his face. Mission accomplished. Well, the smile quickly changed when he saw the nicely set kitchen table with two $ .59 Swanson pot pies waiting for him. We thought they sounded great on a snowy night, he thought a little more "home made" might have been nice for all of his hard work. Of course here I am 14 years later, and as late as last week I stilled called Mark when I needed a favor. He has never let me down. Sure he complains about it, but never lets me down.
