Good morning all. Mark is looking forward to a better day today. That fever that was off and on yesterday hasn't reappeared. He also had a more restful night. The staff did an excellent job of coordinating his care so he was interrupted as little as possible. There was a hard rain during the night, and with his window open just a little he was able to hear it.
This morning, Mark has already had a breathing treatment. Each respiratory therapist has an individual style, and Mark is learning the equipment and vocabulary to let them know the way he is most comfortable having his treatments handled. (What a diplomat).
The staff here at Craig is great. His nurse on duty today is Kenny. The best description of Kenny is "think Barry White". Kenny moonlights in an eight member cover group. They sing classic soul/gospel. He is a terrific personality to have around.
Keep praying for Mark to have patience.
love, Kelly
1:15- And we're off! Mark is in a wheelchair, and will be going to physical therapy soon. 3:00-Mark has had 1/2 or 1 hr of physical therapy, and then a short trip to one of the courtyards outside. We returned to his room, and he is resting quietly while he waits for the occupational therapist.
