Mike called me just now and gave me an update of what's been happening so far this morning.
The doctors are still watching Mark's sores closely and doing everything they can to get those taken care of. As many of you are aware - any sore takes a little time to heal.
Mark had his trach cuff taken down this morning for about an hour and talked with Dr. Lavis regarding everything that was going on. He also took a phone call from Jon-Michael and even placed a call to one of his customers in New York.
High points today are -- the ultrasound showed no clots in left arm....x-rays show the left lung is definately clearer....going to do more testing of Mark off the vent completely to see how he does breathing on his own. They are also taking his trach cuff down several times today to allow Mark to talk. Still everyone is so impressed that he's talking so well and handling his breathing while the cuff is down.
Mark will not be able to get into the wheelchair today due to his sores -- which he's completely bummed about. They are going to keep him in bed, but take him out of the room so he doesn't go stir crazy....
That's it for now. More later. Be safe. Lana
