Mark slept very soundly last night. He really needed that rest to help with a mild case of pneumonia that has developed. He slept under a cooling blanket all night, and that has taken his temp back down. They will remove the blanket later today and monitor the results. The neurosurgeon-Dr. Paul Arnold-has given a preliminary okay for Mark to be transferred to Craig, pending a discussion with the doctor at that facility. Mark is still really tired this morning, he is currently sleeping through his physical therapy. Tues p.m.- Mark spent the afternoon resting and getting prepared for his move to rehab. The itinerary for Mark's travel has been finalized. He will be flying by private plane out of the downtown K.C. airport mid-morning tomorrow and is definitely headed to Craig Hospital in Engelwood, Colorado. The doctors there are confident that the lung issues that have developed can be addressed and corrected quickly. The doctors and staff at KU have taken excellent care of Mark, but he is ready to get out of the ICU, and move forward with his rehab.
